Materials Used
We used several products and supplies in the making of our cinnamon roll box. Below is a list of what we used.
- Cinnamon Roll Gift Box and Party Decoration – Digital Download SVG
- Recollections cardstock
- Art Glitter Glue
- Mod Podge Gloss Sealer
- Electric Cutting Machine: Cricut or Silhouette

Assembling The Base
To start this gift box, we made the base of the box first. Take the two long panels and attached them end to end to create a large circular shape.
Once we had the circular shape for the box bottom, we folded in the tabs and added glue. Then placed one of the large panels to close off the bottom. Make sure that the tabs are snug and the bottom panel is pressed into the fold of each tab. This will ensure a good close fit and you won’t have any gaps when done. Now you can turn the box bottom over and attach the other large panel to cover up the tabs and finish off the bottom of the cinnamon roll.
Cinnamon Roll Box Lid
Curve the panels using the score lines as a guide then attach the long panels end to end. Once we had a completed loop, we added glue to the little tabs between the panels and attached to their neighbor, creating a curved side for the top of the box. Next, we add glue to the tabs in the bottom and place the large panel to close off the top of the lid.
Decorating The Cinnamon Roll Box
Take the icing panel and add some glue to the area of the swirl and around the panel. Be sure to not cross over the little score lines in the white icing top. We did not want to add glue to the drip edge yet. Place the large flat top panel in the center of the icing panel using the score marks as a guide.
There are two ways to finish off the donut. One option is to add glue to the back of the assembled decorative panel. Place it in the center of the donut box lid, and secure the center while smoothing the sides of the drip down into place. This will give you a curved look of the icing coming down and the box top is complete.
To give the donut a shiny look on the icing we attached the icing assembly to the top of the box lid, leaving the drips unattached. We then took an art bristle paintbrush and brushed a moderate layer of glossy mod podge onto the icing. Once the mod podge was completely dry (we left it to dry overnight), we added glue to the underside of the drips and smoothed the icing down and into place.
