Materials Used

We used several products and supplies in the making of our coffin treat box. Below is a list of what we used.

Box Bottom Vs. Box Top

The bottom and the top of the box go together the same way and are only different in two ways, the lid is a little bit larger (so it can fit over the bottom) and has two half circles cut from the sides to make it easier to open. (Below Left: Lid Below Right: Box Bottom)

Coffin Box Assembly

To assemble these, fold along all the score lines so that the shape can fold into position and the tabs can fold and be glued in place.  The starting point doesn’t matter too much, just fold and glue the tabs in place, one or two at a time until you have all tabs secured.  Our photos show the assembly of the bottom.  Repeat this process for the top.

Adding Some Details To The Coffin

Once you have the top and bottom of the coffin assembled, you can decorate the top. There is a panel the shape of the coffin that you can use if you have a particular pattern you want centered on your box.  This piece is optional.  We chose to use it to attach the frame and hand to then attached it to the top of the lid.  We then added the handles to the sides of the coffin to complete the treat box.
