Making The Broom’s Base
This broom box is put together in a couple simple steps. To start, we constructed the bottom that will hold the treats. To do this, we encouraged the long panel with a series of tabs along one arc to curve, then added glue to the end tab. We attached this to the other end to create a cone shape.

With this done, place the open side with no tabs on your work surface. Fold in the tabs and add glue to one of the tabs. Place the circle panel on this tab, making sure to secure it and align with the edge, Once this is secure, add glue to the other tabs, all or just a few at a time, and secure the rest of the circle to the tabs, closing off the bottom of the treat box.

Making The Broom
With this done, we turned to the top of the broom. Start by taking the large curved section and add glue to the tab. Curve the panel around to create a cone.

Our next step was to decorate the broom. We took the decorative panels, and attached them one at a time to the top of this cone. Once done with the first layer, shift over a little and add the second layer so it covers the seam. This will help make the broom look a little cleaner/nicer.

Attaching The Handle
The next step was to put the handle in place. We did this by cutting a ¼ inch dowel to about 4 inches long. Then we slid the dowel through the hole at the top of the cone shape. With the dowel sticking a little into he cone, we squeezed in a bunch of hot glue, securing the dowel.

To put the bow on the broom, we started by attaching a short piece of ribbon around where the handle and broom meet.

Making The Bow
Next, we formed the bow part by creating two loops and securing the ends to the center. We wrapped a small piece of ribbon around the center to cover this construction then glued the whole thing to cover where the ribbon ends come together on the broom.
