Round Sports Box Assembly

These sports boxes are super quick and easy to put together but make for a fun and special gift box for that coach or athlete you are trying to recognize for their efforts! Try switching the colors to match your team’s colors or add a player number or name to personalize these even more.

To start with we assembled the bottom of the box.  This goes together the same as the top.  The only difference is the top pieces are slightly larger, allowing it to fit over the bottom of the box.  To assemble, take the two side panels that make up the bottom of the box.  Attach these end to end by gluing together using the end tabs, making a circular shape.

Next, fold the line of tabs inward and add glue. Then place one of the circle panels in the bottom of the box.  Both round panels are identical so either is fine to use.

Next, turn the bottom over, add glue to the other circle panel and attach it to the bottom of the box, covering the exposed tabs.

Decorating The Boxes

Repeat this process using the pieces for the lid of the box. After that we added the decorative panel for the ball.  In this case, we cut everything in white so we could add the final decorative panel in black.

Football Assembly

To start with we assembled the bottom of the box.  This goes together the same as the top.  The only difference is the top pieces are slightly larger, allowing it to fit over the bottom of the box.  To assemble, take the two side panels that make up the bottom of the box.  Attach these end to end by gluing together using the end tabs, making an oval shape.

Next, fold the line of tabs inward and add glue. Then place one of the football panels in place.  Both panels are identical for the bottom of the box so either is fine. When placing the first panel, note that there are some vertical score lines on the side panels.  These will help you place the football panel  Below we have circled the tab that goes on the very end of the football panel.

Next, turn the bottom over, add glue to the other circle panel and attach it to the bottom of the box, covering the exposed tabs.

Decorating The Box

Repeat this process using the pieces for the lid of the box.  Once you have that completed, add the decorative panel for your ball.
