Round Sports Box Assembly
These sports boxes are super quick and easy to put together but make for a fun and special gift box for that coach or athlete you are trying to recognize for their efforts! Try switching the colors to match your team’s colors or add a player number or name to personalize these even more.
To start with we assembled the bottom of the box. This goes together the same as the top. The only difference is the top pieces are slightly larger, allowing it to fit over the top. To assemble, take the three side panels that make up the bottom of the sports box. Attach these end to end by gluing together using the end tabs. This will give you a roughly circular shape.

Next, fold the line of tabs inward and add glue. Then place one of the circle panels in the bottom of the box. Both round panels are identical so either is fine to use.

Next, turn the bottom over, add glue to the other circle panel and attach it to the bottom of the sports box. This covers the exposed tabs and strengthens the box.

Repeat this process using the pieces for the lid of the box. After that we added the decorative panel for the ball. In this case, we cut everything in white so we could add the final decorative panel in black.

Football Assembly
The football is assembled the same as the round sports balls. There are only 2 differences. One difference is that the sides of the box are made using two panels instead of three. The only other difference is when putting the football shaped panel in place. You’ll note that the football side panels have some extra score lines near the end tabs. These score lines help the panels curve extra, allowing for a better fit on the narrow ends of the panel.
