A Note About The Box Top & Bottom
The top and bottom of this box go together the same. The only difference is they are slightly different sizes so the top can fit over the bottom. You can keep the pieces straight by looking for the small circle cut out. The side panels and the heart panel for the bottom of the box have a small circle cut out. These are to help keep the correct pieces together.
Assembling The Heart
To assemble, start by the tabs on the score lines. Then add glue to one of the end tabs and attach to the other side panel.

We then added glue to a couple tabs at the bottom. Choose a few that are on one side or the other of where the two panels come together. The point where they meet is going to be the center of the heart where it curves in at the top. Once you have glue on these tabs, press the side panel (folded where the two panels meet) into the top of the heart and attach the tabs. Once you have the first couple tabs attached, you can add glue and attach the remaining tabs.

With one side of the heart complete, attach the tabs on the other side. When you have all the tabs attached to the heart pannel, add glue to the end tab and attach the two side panels together.

Repeat these steps for the other half of the box.

Decorating The Heart
To decorate the box, there are two layered heart panels. These are identical in size. One for the top of the box and one for the bottom, it doesn’t matter which you put on top or bottom. Start by adding glue to the smaller heart and attach to the larger heart.

We then layered the words “LOVE YOU” and added stripes of foam dots to the back. We cut them down so they were narrow enough to fit behind the letters.

Place glue on the top of the lid, where the tabs are exposed. Lay the heart panel with “LOVE YOU” face down on your table and press the glue side of the box lid down in the center of the heart.

Repeat this process for the box bottom.
