Small Dumpster Assembly
The small dumpster box is made of one piece for the box, and four pieces that are decorative side panels which give it texture and some extra strength. Fold the box panel along the score lines and glue tabs to create an open topped box.
For the lid, fold along the score line several times to make the lid open and close easily. Add the decorative panel to the top, then glue the lid to the inside of the box on the tall back side of the dumpster.
Large Dumpster Assembly
The large dumpster is made of a few more pieces than the small one. To assemble the box base, there are two pieces. We added glue to the long tab as shown below and attached it to the panel that makes up the back and sides of the dumpster box.
We then added glue to the side tabs and folded them into position to create the shape of the dumpster box.
Next, we added the decorative side panels to the front and back of the box.
The handles are meant to be added to the decorative side panels before attaching them to the box. To do this, you’ll note that the handles have two score lines at each end, fold the outside ones as a valley fold and the inside as a mountain fold to create a shape as shown.
We added glue to the outer portion and glued it to the back of the side panel so that the tab attaching it is hidden on the back of the panel. We then attached the other end to the decorative side panel. Once both ends were attached, we glued the decorative side panel to the box.
The lid of the dumpster is in three parts. We started by adding the decorative panels to the lid.
We then added glue along the long tab and attached it to the inside, back of the dumpster. Once this was done, we added the “please recycle” decorative panel.
